The box:

The Box was one of Arc Inspirations most successful bars. But after 14 years of service, it needed some TLC to bring it back to life. The bar itself accommodated two different audiences - one an often enthused and energetic crowd in peak periods, the other, a more discerning group during daily trade. We needed to usher in a new era without alienating either.

After much deliberation, we opted for ‘industrial-cool’ - an eclectic mix of sporting references and industrial materials, furnishings and fittings.

To make the most of the bar’s interior spaces and to play on its name of The Box, we zoned areas with vibrant colours and strong, graphic iconography. In addition, wall and floor surfaces combined fabricated steel extrusion with Astroturf, bare concrete and durable but quirky cool materials.
